Decided to muck about with the new enemy sprites. This is roughly how the new enemy will attack you projectile wise, minus cool particle and post effects.

Earlier this year I began working with a highly talented composer by the name of Mattias Häggström Gerdt. Famous for his work on OC remix, top XNA title Kaleidoscope as well as arranged music for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix in conjunction with CAPCOM.

Working with Mattias was a joy, as he could interpret my music needs with very little trouble. The soundtrack complete with remixes will be available later on this year but till then here's a few clips of the finished music for the Blind EDGE game.

Hello all,

Blind EDGE was plugged in a recent interview with Swedish game composer Mattias Häggström Gerdt who's currently working on the soundtrack for Blind EDGE.

As for the development things are shaping up nicely with Blind EDGE. Melee combat is currently being added to the build as well as some nice post effects. Also look out for some thing special on my blog "VERY SOON".

It's Been a long time since an update. Been taking a break from Project Blind EDGE for the first time in a year. Been hard at work again finished modelling a new character and I've nearly finished the post work on level 02 so i added a picture for your viewing pleasure.

I may have promised a video of an early build of Blind Edge, but unfortunately my PC is showing its age. Being unable to record the screen and run the game at the same time. Video looks really choppy at 5 fps. thats all my little laptop can handle while capturing. Instead there's a screen grab of the game in action.

Work on Blind Edge is going smoothly. Currently working with the new Coder, adding in the menu systems and music. Just thought I'd put up a few images. The new team logo, level 01 mock up and the current title screen.

For the last month I've been EXTREMELY BUSY finishing all the animation for the finalised characters. I'm currently editing animation for sprite sheets. So I put together a quick combo animation. This maybe a mock up but the the finished game will look exactly like this if not... BETTER. This video is using all in game assets no tweaks.

Just thought I'd let you know that updates are going to be very rare for the next month or so. With a large chunk of the animation and art finished I've begun full production of the game engine. I've got a lot of coding to do, as such I doubt you want to see lines of code as an update. I really want to get this game up, running and playable in the next 2 - 3 month so I can show you how cool this game will be when it's finished.

It's been a while since the last update. Very busy co-ordinating the new team members. Got a programmer and a sound designer on board. I'll be uploading some music in progress in the coming days untill then I just finished the first animation cycle as well as a fire particle animation, drop them into the scene to test.

I said you wouldn't have to wait long heres a quick render of the main character "Edge" i've updated the normal maps and textured the face. The texture of his skin is looking a bit more scared simliar to burnt skin after its healed. Don't worry I'll explain the back story of Edge in the coming months...maybe in comic form who knows...

Blind Edge First images.

Its been a long time coming but I'm proud to present the first images of my XNA game Blind Edge I'm aiming for a new year release in January 2010. The whole game is being modelled in 3D but will play out in 2D. I'm still hard at work with more information to come soon so please watch this space.
